Anna Bondarenko Soprano

First Prize Winner of the 2019 Competizione dell’Opera held in Sochi, soprano Anna Bondarenko, is a native of Krivoy Rog, Ukraine. In 2014, she completed her master’s diploma at the Odessa National Academy of Music of A.V. Nezhdanova, graduating with honors. On the stage of the Opera Studio at the academy, she sang Tatyana in Eugene Onegin, as well as many scenes from other operas. From 2014 to 2017, she was the Assistant Trainee at the academy’s Department of Solo Singing, participating in many concert performances during her tenure there.

Since 2015, Ms. Bondarenko has been a soloist at the Odessa Ukrainian Musical Drama Theatre. She performed the role of Roma Woman in the Nikolai Gogol play Sorochintsy Fair, and Oksana in the opera Zaporozhets Beyond the Danube by Ukrainian composer Semen Hulak-Artyomovsk. In October 2018, she was invited to sing the part of Oksana on the stage of the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater, where she began as an ensemble member in 2019.
